CAIRO - 30 August 2018: A 26-member high-level Indian business delegation, led by Principal Secretary (Tourism) of Gujarat Tourism S.J.Haider, will visit Cairo on September 8-12.

In a statement on Thursday, the Indian embassy in Cairo said that the visit aims at boosting bilateral cooperation and beefing up trade exchange and investments.

The delegation will also invite Egyptian investors and businessmen to attend the 9th edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit (VGGS) on January 18-20, 2019, at Mahatma Mandir.

Vibrant Gujarat Summit was conceptualized in 2003 by the Prime Minister of India and the then Chief Minister of Gujarat, Narendra Modi, to re-establish Gujarat as a preferred investment destination within India.

The Summit has evolved into a platform for brainstorming on agendas of global socio-economic development, in addition to being a facilitator for knowledge sharing and forging effective partnerships.

The 8th Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, held in January 2017, witnessed participation from 25,000 delegates from 100 countries, including four Heads of States, Nobel Laureates, Captains of global industry and Thought Leaders.
