CAIRO - 27 August 2018: Planning Minister Hala el Saaed said that the 2018-2022 medium-term sustainable development plan aims at reducing population growth to 2.1 percent and inflation rate to 8.5 percent.

In a press release on Monday, the minister said that the plan aims at decreasing the population growth rate from 2.65 percent in 2017 to 2.1 percent by the end of the four-year plan.

The government is also seeking to reduce the inflation rate from 14.3 percent in February 2018 to 8.5 percent by the end of the plan in 2022, the minister added.
