CAIRO - 16 July 2018: Egypt on Monday took part in the opening session of a high-level ministerial forum of the UN Economic and Social Council, currently held in New York.

Representatives of 110 world countries are attending the forum.

Addressing the forum, Investment and International Cooperation Minister Sahar Nasr stressed Egypt's keenness on boosting cooperation ties with the UN member states in all political, social and development fields.

Egypt is adopting an ambitious development plan aimed at improving the investment climate and luring more environments into the country, she said.

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi is keen on empowering youths and helping them play a major role in Egypt's business sector, Nast noted.

She added that the Egyptian government has launched several initiatives to help businesswomen pump new investments into the country.
