CAIRO - 15 July 2018: House of Representatives Speaker Ali Abdel Aal on Sunday referred to the parliament's specialized committees reports on two agreements that the government signed with the Islamic Development Bank (ISDB) and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD).

The first report, which recommends scrapping an agreement signed in 2013 between the government and the ISDB to purchase equipment for building Al Azhar Educational Hospital, was forwarded to a joint committee of the parliament's Religious and Endowments Affairs Committee and the office of the Constitutional and Legislative Affairs Committee.

The second report, which proposes ratifying a $500 million-loan agreement inked between the government and the IBRD in 2018 to support educational reforms in the country, was submitted to a joint committee made up of the parliament's Education and Scientific Research Committee and the Economic Affairs Committee.
