CAIRO - 27 June 2018: The General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) was elected board member of ANIMA Investment Network after securing 28 votes out of 31 in the network's board elections.

Also, GAFI was elected as vice president of the network. Vice CEO of GAFI Ola el Qubrosi will assume the post in January of 2019 till December 2021.

The elections were organized by the general assembly of the network on the sidelines of its annual conference in Tunis.

ANIMA is a multi-country cooperation platform for economic development in the Mediterranean. The ANIMA network gathers national and regional investment promotion agencies, international organisations, business federations, innovation clusters, financial investors and research institutes from the region.

The network includes 76 members and aims at improving the Mediterranean business climate, as well as encouraging a shared and sustainable economic development for the region.

During the ANIMA annual conference, Qubrosi expounded the Investment and International Cooperation Ministry's efforts to promote investments in Egypt and improve the investment climate.
