CAIRO May 10 : Egypt's core inflation decreased to 32.06 percent year on year in April from 32.25 percent in March, the central bank said on Wednesday.

Over the same period, annual urban consumer price inflation rose to 31.5 percent from 30.9 percent, the CAPMAS statistics agency said earlier on Wednesday.

Egypt abandoned its currency peg to the dollar on Nov. 3 in a move that has since seen its pound currency depreciate roughly by half.
