CAIRO - 8 April 2018: Minister of Trade and Industry Tarek Kabil said a delegation of expat Egyptian investors in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will pay a visit to Egypt soon to get briefed on the investment potentials floated within the framework of the industrial investment map launched by his ministry in October.

In a statement released on Sunday, Kabil said the visit comes in activation of a cooperation protocol signed between the Ministry of Trade and Industry and the Ministry of Immigration and Expatriate Affairs to promote for the industrial investment map and encourage Egyptians abroad to contribute to the development of the national industry.

The statement also praised the outcome of an expanded meeting held recently between leading members of the expat Egyptian business community in the UAE and a delegation of the Egyptian Industrial Development Authority (IDA) which was taking part in an annual investment forum hosted by Dubai, saying the meeting was the fruit of orchestrated efforts between the two ministries.

Speaking about the Dubai meeting, Minister of Immigration and Expatriate Affairs Nabila Makram said in a press statement that her ministry made all preparations needed for it in coordination with the Egyptian expat community in the UAE and the Egyptian Trade Representation Office in Dubai to consolidate social, economic and political bonds between the Egyptian expatriates and their homeland.
