CAIRO - 13 February 2018: Minister of Petroleum Tarek al Molla had a session of talks on Tuesday with Algeria's Energy Minister Mustapha Guitouni and his accompanying delegation on the sidelines of Egypt Petroleum Show (EGYPS 2018) currently in session in Cairo.

They discussed means of promoting joint cooperation projects between the two countries in the energy domains.

In statements, Molla pointed out to cooperation between the two countries and Egypt's imports of Algerian oil and gas through a cooperation protocol with Algeria.

They also discussed cooperation in the petrochemical domains and the possibility of enabling Egyptian drilling companies to operate in Algeria.

For his part, the Algerian minister expressed his country's readiness to boost cooperation with Egypt, praising Egypt's expertise in carrying out energy projects in Algeria.
