CAIRO – 5 February 2018: Minister of Petroleum Tarek al-Molla discussed the available investment opportunities in oil and gas exploration and production with Kuwait Energy Company’s officials, an official statement said.

The minister noted that there has been positive participation from the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC), in collaboration with Kuwait Energy, to develop Faihaa and Siba fields in Iraq.

“Kuwait Energy is looking forward to achieving more success in Egypt and participating in international oil and gas tenders which will be launched by the petroleum sector,” the Kuwait Energy’s chairman Manssour Aboukhamseen said.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kuwait Energy Company Abi Badawi, Chief Executive Officer Mansour Bu Khamseen, Chairman of the Company in Egypt Kamel al-Sawy, and First Undersecretary of the Ministry of Petroleum Mohamed Moanis, attended the meeting.

President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi inaugurated the giant Zohr gas field on Wednesday. It is one of the largest offshore gas fields discovered in the Mediterranean.

Kuwait Energy is an independent oil and gas company actively engaged in the exploration, appraisal, development and production of hydrocarbons. It was established in 2005.

It has a diversified the portfolio of oil and gas assets in the MENA region across Iraq, Egypt, Yemen and Oman. Its MENA portfolio consists of 10 exploration, development and production assets.
