CAIRO – 31 December 2017: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended its transactions Sunday with all indices going up. Benchmark EGX30 minimally went up 0.01 percent to stand at 15,019 points, still hitting a record.

The small and mid-cap index EGX70 increased 0.39 percent to end at 827.66 points and the broader index EGX100 also leveled up 0.59 percent to close at 1,971.7 points.

Market capitalization declined LE 897 million as it recorded LE 824.917 billion, down from LE 825.814 billion at the end of transactions on Thursday.

Arab individuals as well as Egyptian and foreign institutions were net sellers at LE 5.6 million, LE 60.7 million and LE 8.1 million respectively, meanwhile, Egyptian and foreign individuals in addition to Arab institutions purchased at LE 55.98 million, LE 683,000 and LE 17.7 million.

Shares of 51 companies recorded increases, while 105 others saw declines, and shares of 30 firms remained unchanged.
