EGX-30 still at highest record, market cap slumps LE 10.3B

CAIRO – 25 December 2017: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended its transactions Monday in green. Benchmark EGX30 went up 0.36 percent to stand at 14,843 points.

The small and mid-cap index EGX70 increased 1.2 percent to end at 827.90 points and the broader index EGX100 also leveled up one percent to close at 1,955.7 points.

Market capitalization slumped LE 10.6 billion as it recorded LE 803.445 billion, down from LE 813,811 billion attained at the end of transactions on Sunday.

Egyptian, Arab and foreign individuals were net sellers at LE 10.13 million, LE 1.6 million and LE 7.3 million respectively, meanwhile Egyptian, Arab and foreign institutions were net buyers at LE 8.6 million, LE 9.2 million and LE 1.2 million.

Shares of 95 companies recorded increases, while 58 others saw declines, while, shares of 30 firms remained unchanged.
