EGX concludes all-green week, benchmark still on record

CAIRO – 14 December 2017: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended its transactions Thursday in green for the fifth consecutive day this week.

Benchmark index EGX30 went up 0.19 percent to stand at 14,679 points. The small and mid-cap index EGX70 increased 1.61 percent to end at 804 points and the broader index EGX100 leveled up 1.61 percent to close at 1,902.53 points.

Market capitalization gained LE 4.2 billion as it recorded LE 820.763 billion, up from LE 816.5 billion at the end of transactions on Wednesday.

Arab and foreign individuals as well as Egyptian institutions were net sellers at LE 8.6 million, LE 3.1 million and LE 28.2 million, meanwhile, Arab and foreign institutions as well as Egyptian individuals purchased at LE 9.6 million, LE 18.3 million and LE 11.99 million respectively.

Shares of 65 companies recorded increases, while 101 others saw declines, while, shares of 26 firms remained unchanged.
