Investment minister heads to Paris OECD-EU meeting

CAIRO - 14 December 2017: Minister of Investment Sahar Nasr left to Paris Thursday to attend the annual OECD-EU Joint Ministerial Meeting on enhancing economic governance and public administration reform.

A statement from the ministry noted that the conference will gather ministers from countries that are partners with the European Union.

The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) is an intergovernmental economic organization with 35 member countries. It was founded in 1960 to stimulate economic progress and world trade.

The OECD raised its estimate of global economic growth to 3.6 percent in its 2017 report, compared to 3.5 percent in its previous report, and it expects the world economy to grow 3.7 percent next year and 3.6 percent in 2019.
