CAIRO- 4 December 2017: Sub Governor Markets Sector in the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) Rami Abul Naga said that the bank paid off in November $2 billion for the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank).

Abul Naga told MENA that the amount of money is considered the first tranche from the Afreximbank loan to the country out of $3.2 billion owed to the Afreximbank during December 2017.

The rest, estimated at $1.2 billion, will be paid off to Afreximbank before the end of December, he underlined.
