EGX closes in green, market cap down LE 4.3B

CAIRO – 3 December 2017: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended its transactions in green, with the trading volume recording LE 928 million.

Benchmark index EGX30 went up 0.90 percent to stand at 14,713 points. The small and mid-cap index EGX70 inched up 0.30 percent to end at 797 points and the broader index EGX100 leveled up 0.49 percent to close at 1,861 points.

Market capitalization returned back LE 4.3 billion to record LE 809.7 billion, down from LE 814.12 billion registered at the end of Wednesday transactions.

Egyptian and Arab individuals were net sellers at LE 58.8 million and LE 1.7 million respectively. Meanwhile, Egyptian, Arab and foreign institutions as well as foreign individuals were net buyers at LE 29.5 million, LE 18.5 million, LE 5.7 million and LE 6.8 million.

Shares of 81 companies recorded increases, while 81 others saw declines, while, shares of 32 firms remained unchanged.
