EGX closes in mixed note, still breaking record

CAIRO - 29 November 2017: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended its transactions on mixed note Wednesday, continuing its record reached on the prior day.

Benchmark index EGX30 went up 0.31 percent to stand at 14,582 points. The small and mid-cap index EGX70 inched down 0.86 percent to end at 795.43 points and the broader index EGX100 leveled down 0.39 percent to close at 1,852.1 points.

Market capitalization increased LE 1.7 billion to record LE 814.12 billion, up from LE 812.430 billion registered at the end of Tuesday transactions.

Egyptian and foreign individuals as well as Egyptian and Arab institutions were net sellers at LE 47.9 million, LE 1.1 million, LE 133 million and LE 16.5 million respectively. Meanwhile, Arab individuals and foreign institutions were net buyers at LE 18 million and LE 180.4 million.

Shares of 64 companies recorded increases, while 109 others saw declines, while, shares of 16 firms remained unchanged.
