CAIRO – 5 March 2017: The Egyptian National Authority for Tunnels (ENAT) commissioned French company

Colas Rail

to construct a workshop to perform maintenance on Metro Line 1, which runs from Helwan to El Marg, at a cost of 315 million EGP,

Colas Rail will build the new workshop at Kozzika station, one stop away from the other workshops at Tora el-Balad station. The company will be tasked with maintenance of the power supply, aerodynamic network, workshop tools and the establishment of a storage area, according to ENAT’s statement, published by Youm7.

The Egyptian National Authority for Tunnels floated a tender last February to choose a company to establish the new workshop at Kozzika station. The French company’s technical and financial offer was accepted after reviewing various offers from other companies.
