CAIRO – 5 November 2017: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Sunday in red as all indices recorded decreases at the end of the trading session.

Benchmark EGX30 inched down 0.95 percent to stand at 14,183 points. The small and mid-cap index EGX70 decreased 0.63 percent to end at 784.73 points, while broader index EGX100 also leveled down 0.67 percent to close at 1,764.6 points.

Market capitalization lost LE 5.99 billion Sunday to record LE 774.798 billion compared to LE 780.797 billion in the latest session Thursday.

Egyptian and Arab investor as well as foreign institutions recorded LE 61.2 million, LE 12.6 million and LE 89.3 million respectively.

Meanwhile, Egyptian and Arab institutions and foreign investors marked net purchases of LE 12.9 million, LE 139.7 million and LE 10.5 million respectively.

Shares of 78 companies recorded increases and 87 companies marked declines, while shares of 24 firms remained unchanged.
