CAIRO – 2 November 2017: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) board launched Thursday an interactive map for listed companies in the bourse, the EGX announced in an official statement.

In a bid to improve the quality of EGX services, the map would allow stock market investors to identify main information and data about companies, easily contact them and follow their news.

“The map eyes to increase disclosure rates of listed companies, to be in line with the New Investment Law,” EGX chairman Mohamed Farid said, highlighting the significance of having an investment map.

Farid said that the EGX will launch another investment map for locations and services of brokerage companies.

The EGX will host in November the 11th annual conference of the African Securities Exchanges Association (ASEA).

The two-day conference will discuss issues of capital market industry, market liquidity and financial technology in the capital markets. The sessions will also discuss mechanisms to strengthen governance practices and the role of financial markets in sustainability.
