CAIRO – 13 September 2017: Egypt signed five agreements Wednesday with Germany’s Bavaria company to build five factories in East Port Said by 2018, Chairman of the Suez Canal Economic Zone Authority Mohab Mamesh said.

Stretching over 40,000 square meters, the factories will be specialized in manufacturing trucks, buses, irrigation systems, armored doors and metal lockers.

Mamesh is now in Munich as part of his tour in Germany, leading a high-level delegation from the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone).

A delegation of leading German businessmen will visit Cairo in early October to move forward with new projects in the SCZone, Mamesh said Wednesday.

He also agreed with German conglomerate Siemens to build a training center inside the zone to train technical workers, especially in labor-intensive projects.
