CAIRO – 2 September 2017: The electronic appliances’ industry recorded a 9.7 percent increase in June 2017 year-on-year, the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) stated.

The agency report noted that June witnessed a decline of 40.9 percent in the cost of production and furniture industry compared to June 2016.

In its August bulletin, CAPMAS added that the cost of production of the motor vehicle industry decreased 4.6 percent, while the cost of production of the food products' industry leveled up 9 percent in June 2017.

Manufacturing industry index fell 3.7 percent and recorded 104.7 in June 2017 compared to 108.7 in June 2016, CAPMAS report read.
