CAIRO – 22 August 2017: The acting Head of the Egyptian Financial Supervisory Authority (EFSA) Mohamed Omran was appointed as a board member in the Central Bak of Egypt (CBE), an official at the CBE said Tuesday.

Omran will serve as the representative of the authority and will be entitled to attend the next board meeting. The CBE’s board meets twice a month and is consisted of eight members, chaired by the CBE Head Tarek Amer, the official added to the Middle East News agency (MENA).

On Monday, Prime Minister Sherif Ismail named Mohamed Omran as the acting head of the Egyptian Financial Supervisory Authority (EFSA).

Omran has been serving as the Head of the Egyptian exchange (EGX) for two sessions since September 21, 2011 until August 6, 2017.
