CAIRO – 21 August 2017: Prime Minister Sherif Ismail named Mohamed Omran as the acting Head of the Egyptian Financial Supervisory Authority (EFSA), Minister of Investment Sahar Nasr announced on Monday.

Omran has been serving as the Head of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) for two sessions since September 21, 2011 until August 6, 2017.

Nasr added the EFSA will work on putting an integrated strategy for non-banking financial products, which will promote the role of the sector in supporting the Egyptian economy, providing the necessary finance and injecting new investments to boost economic growth rates.
