CAIRO – 9 August 2017: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) saw a mixed performance on Wednesday for the third session in a row. Arab and local investors sold by a total of LE 13 million and LE 8 million, respectively.

The benchmark index EGX 30 decreased 0.42 percent to close at 13,581points.
The small and mid-cap index EGX70 increased 0.53 percent to end at 722 points. The broader index EGX100 added 0.18 percent to 1,619 points.

Market capital grew to LE 717.7 billion compared to LE 715.9 billion on Tuesday.
Arab and local investors were net sellers with a total of LE 13 million and LE 8 million, respectively, while foreign traders purchased by LE 21 million.

Total turnover gained LE 24 million to LE 701 million, down from LE 677 million achieved on Monday, while trade volume registered 293 million shares, compared to 279 million shares last session.

Universal for Paper and Packaging Materials (Unipack) topped gainers and surged 9.9 percent, while El Arabia Engineering Industries led the worst performers and declined 8.4 percent.
