CAIRO - 7 July 2026: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly met with Jassem Mohamed Bu Ataba Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Department of Finance and Chairman of Modon Holding, to follow up on the progress of Ras El Hekma City’s development projects along Egypt’s northwestern Mediterranean coast.

Madbouly reaffirmed the government’s commitment to maintaining close oversight of the project and ensuring continued coordination between the Egyptian and Emirati entities involved in its implementation.

He said that sustained cooperation between both sides is helping move the project forward in line with its approved timetable, supporting the delivery of its various components and strengthening Ras El Hekma’s role as a major development destination on the North Coast.

The Prime Minister added that the project is expected to unlock wider investment, tourism and development opportunities across Egypt’s northwestern coastal region.

Al Zaabi reviewed the latest construction progress, noting that implementation is proceeding according to schedule. He said the first phase is expected to introduce hospitality, commercial, entertainment and service facilities within their planned operating timelines.

The development is designed to build on the area’s natural landscape and tourism potential, creating a distinctive destination for visitors while supporting increased tourism activity in the region.

The meeting concluded with an agreement for both sides to conduct a site visit to Ras El Hekma in the coming period to review construction progress on the ground.
