As children’s access to digital platforms continues to expand, Kidzonet Egypt is introducing a new model for online protection through telecom-based solutions designed to help families manage children’s digital experiences.

The company’s services, “Etmen” and “Etmen Ala El-Akhar,” are now available through Egypt’s four mobile operators as part of a collaboration with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA), and CyShield.

The services rely on advanced content classification and digital protection technologies to provide families with different levels of online safety, helping reduce exposure to inappropriate content and potential cybersecurity threats.

The “Etmen” service provides protection against unsuitable online content, while enabling safe browsing and search features and helping block websites and links that may pose security risks.

Meanwhile, “Etmen Ala El-Akhar” offers additional parental controls by limiting access to selected websites and social media applications, allowing parents to customize digital access based on their children’s needs.

Eng. Amr Nabil, General Manager of Kidzonet Egypt, said the launch represents the result of years of development and collaboration aimed at providing practical solutions for children’s digital safety.

“Kidzonet Egypt is proud to be the technology behind the ‘Etmen’ and ‘Etmen Ala El-Akhar’ services, and to contribute to this national project in cooperation with MCIT, NTRA, CyShield, and the four mobile operators,” Nabil said.

“We believe technology should enable children to benefit from the internet in a safer environment, while providing Egyptian families with simple and effective solutions that give parents greater confidence and reassurance,” he added.

Kidzonet Egypt said the services are designed in line with international standards and best practices in digital protection, supporting efforts to build a safer digital environment for children.

The company added that the availability of the services across all mobile operators reflects the role of public-private partnerships in supporting Egypt’s digital transformation and expanding access to online safety solutions.
