CAIRO - 1 July 2026: Kidzonet Egypt has officially launched two new digital safety services, “Etmen” (Be Reassured) and “Etmen Ala El Akhar” (Reassure to the absolute maximum), aimed at enhancing children’s protection online and promoting safer digital practices in Egypt.
The launch ceremony was attended by Minister of Communications and Information Technology Raafat Hindi, with the services introduced as part of efforts to provide families with practical tools for safer internet use.
Kidzonet Egypt said the services were launched in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA), and Egypt’s four mobile operators.
Amr Nabil, General Manager of Kidzonet Egypt, said the launch represents the result of years of development and joint efforts to provide effective solutions for protecting children in the digital environment.
“We are proud that Kidzonet technologies form the foundation of the ‘Etmen’ and ‘Etmen Ala El Akhar’ services, and that we are the technology partner behind this national project in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, NTRA, and the four mobile operators,” Nabil said.
He added that technology should enable children to benefit from the internet in a safer environment while providing Egyptian families with simple and effective solutions that give parents greater confidence and reassurance.
The company explained that the services rely on advanced technologies for content classification and child online protection, in line with international standards.
The “Etmen” service provides protection from inappropriate content, supports safer browsing and search, and helps block websites and links that may pose cybersecurity risks.
Meanwhile, the “Etmen Ala El Akhar” service provides additional protection by limiting access to certain websites and social media platforms, giving parents more control over their children’s digital activities.
Kidzonet Egypt said making the services available through mobile operators reflects successful cooperation between regulatory bodies and the private sector, and highlights the role of technology in supporting a safer digital society.
