Omar Mohamed Sadiq Radwan
CAIRO - 22 April 2026: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly has issued a decree appointing Omar Mohamed Sadiq Radwan as Chairman of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) for a one-year term, succeeding Dr. Islam Azzam, who has taken over as head of the Financial Regulatory Authority.
Radwan brings extensive experience across Egypt’s financial and investment sector, having most recently served as CEO of Wealth Management at Beltone Financial in 2025. He previously held the role of Head of Growth Sector at the same firm, where he was involved in strategic expansion initiatives, digital transformation efforts, and broadening the client base.
He also served as Group Chief Risk Officer at CI Capital Holding between 2022 and 2024, where he focused on strengthening risk management frameworks and improving operational efficiency.
From 2018 to 2024, Radwan held senior positions within Bank Misr’s investment subsidiaries, contributing to the development of asset management activities and expanding investment fund distribution channels through digital initiatives.
His career also includes experience at several financial institutions, including EFG Hermes, HC Securities & Investment, Arab Finance Brokerage, and Arab Bank, reflecting a broad background in regional capital markets.
On the academic side, Radwan holds the CFA and FRM certifications, along with postgraduate studies in digital transformation from ESLSCA Business School in France and fintech training from Oxford University’s Saïd Business School. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics, with a minor in Computer Science, from the American University in Cairo.
