CAIRO - 3 February 2026: Egypt is set to host the inaugural AI Everything Middle East & Africa (MEA) summit and exhibition.

Scheduled for February 11-12 at the Egypt International Exhibition Center, the event marks a historic milestone: it is the first major global gathering of the year dedicated exclusively to Artificial Intelligence.

The summit underscores AI’s role as the central nervous system of Egypt’s modern economic development.

The event is a powerhouse collaboration, delivered by GITEX—the world’s largest tech exhibition network—and hosted by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) alongside the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA).

By bringing AI Everything to Cairo, Egypt aims to position itself as the primary bridge connecting Africa and the Middle East to the global innovation ecosystem. This ambition was recently echoed by President El-Sisi at the World Economic Forum in Switzerland, where he reaffirmed Egypt’s commitment to expanding ICT investment and upskilling the next generation for the jobs of tomorrow.

The sheer scale of this summit reflects a massive regional appetite for digital transformation, acting as a magnet for over 350 companies and startups. These innovators, hailing from more than 30 different countries, are set to showcase real-world applications through intensive sector deep-dives.

Attendees can expect a comprehensive look at the future of GovTech, smart cities, and cybersecurity, as well as advancements in fintech, sustainable mobility, and general business transformation.

This high level of engagement underscores Egypt’s growing reputation, with a significant number of international firms selecting this specific summit as their primary entry point into the Egyptian market, viewing the nation as a vital strategic gateway for broader regional expansion.

While the exhibition floor will be alive with the energy of robots and cutting-edge algorithms, the summit also prioritizes the critical "human" side of technology through high-level discussions on governance and responsibility. The event is set to host more than ten local and international ministers who will engage with heavyweights from influential global organizations.

This includes representatives from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the World Bank, and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

Additionally, the participation of the UAE Cybersecurity Council highlights a collaborative effort to address the ethical and regulatory frameworks necessary for a secure digital future.

The dialogue will focus on Responsible AI—ensuring that as national AI infrastructures expand, they do so within ethical frameworks and robust governance models. From digital policy to investment strategies, the goal is to create a sustainable AI roadmap that benefits all of MEA.
