CAIRO - 1 February 2026: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE), on behalf of the Ministry of Finance, is set to issue $950 million in one-year US dollar–denominated Treasury bills (T-bills) on Monday.

The offering will roll over maturing dollar Treasury bills worth $1.06 billion, which are due on February 3 and carry an average yield of 4.25 percent.

The move follows a series of recent dollar-denominated issuances. On December 29, the Central Bank sold $817 million in one-year dollar Treasury bills at an average yield of 3.5 percent, replacing an earlier $840 million issue scheduled to mature at the end of December 2025. That earlier issuance carried a yield of 4.25 percent.

Earlier in December 2025, the Central Bank also issued $961 million in similar one-year bills at an average return of 3.75 percent.

Dollar Treasury bills are short-term government debt instruments, typically issued for maturities ranging from three months to one year, and are offered by the Central Bank on behalf of the Ministry of Finance to help meet budget financing needs.
