According to a statement by the foreign ministry, Hahn described Egypt as one of Germany’s most important partners in the Middle East and expressed his country’s keenness to deepen economic cooperation. He also thanked Egypt for its pivotal role in promoting peace in the region and for its ongoing efforts to help resolve the crisis in Gaza.

Ambassador Badri outlined Egypt’s ongoing diplomatic efforts to consolidate the ceasefire in Gaza and its coordination with various partners on issues related to the situation in the Strip, including reconstruction. He highlighted Cairo’s preparations to host an international conference on early recovery and reconstruction in Gaza and voiced hope for Germany’s participation.

Hahn welcomed the initiative, confirming Germany’s intention to take an active part in the conference and contribute to Gaza’s reconstruction, while expressing appreciation for Egypt’s continued efforts to stabilize the region.
