CAIRO – 27 July 2017: Minister of Trade and Industry Tarek Kabil signed an agreement with his Jordanian counterpart Yarub Qudah to cooperate in rebuilding Syria and Iraq, Kabil said in a Thursday statement.

The cooperation will focus on the industrial development of both countries, Kabil said.
During the meeting with his Jordanian counterpart, Kabil said he discussed methods to resolve the issues crippling Egyptian exports of agriculture corps.

Egyptian Prime Minister Sherif Ismail signed on Thursday seven agreements of cooperation with his Jordanian counterpart Hany el-Mulki in Amman, during the Egyptian-Jordanian Higher Committee’s meeting.

Among the signed agreements is a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to develop micro, small- and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).

Under the agreement, both countries will exchange SMEs laws and regulations, establish joint entrepreneurial incubators and build innovation centers. It also entails offering technical assistance and guidance.

The agreements come as part of the 27th session of the Egyptian-Jordanian Joint Higher Committee that aims to execute what had been agreed upon in the last meetings held in Cairo in August 2016.

It also convened to review the cooperation between both countries in the economy and investment fields.
