CAIRO - 10 July 2025: In a move set to boost Egypt’s industrial sector, El Sewedy Industrial Development has partnered with Turkey’s Bony Textile Industries to establish a $100 million textile manufacturing facility within the “Industria 10th” project, located in 10th of Ramadan City.
The agreement, announced by the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI), involves the acquisition of a 120,000-square-meter industrial plot, which will be designated as a private free zone.
The new factory will be fully integrated, specializing in the production of high-quality textiles, and marks a significant step in attracting foreign investment to Egypt’s industrial zones.
Mohamed El Komah, CEO of El Sewedy Industrial Development, emphasized that this partnership underscores the trust international investors place in the company’s state-of-the-art infrastructure and end-to-end services tailored to support business growth.
He noted that the “Industria 10th” project offers an investor-centric environment that empowers businesses to optimize productivity and focus on core operations.
El Komah further highlighted the company’s ongoing commitment to providing smart solutions, integrated utilities, and top-tier operational services—all designed to meet global standards and ensure the long-term success of its industrial partners across both domestic and export markets.
Hasan Glukaya, CEO of Bony Textile Industries, expressed enthusiasm for the project, revealing that the upcoming facility is expected to create approximately 2,500 direct and indirect job opportunities.
The plant is slated to commence operations by the end of 2026, contributing not only to Egypt’s manufacturing capacity but also to its growing role as a hub for international investment.
