CAIRO – 13 June 2024:  Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority (SCA), Osama Rabie, and CEO of Abu Dhabi Ports Group, Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi, convened to discuss mutual cooperation and review recent developments in the Suez Canal. This meeting strengthens the strategic relations between Egypt and the UAE.

Rabie reiterated the SCA's commitment to its ambitious development strategy, focused on enhancing maritime services, improving the ship transit experience, and bolstering safety measures.

These endeavors align with Egypt's successful initiatives to advance infrastructure projects in the Suez Canal waterway, and the surrounding logistics and industrial zone and establish a model for integrated maritime services.

Emphasizing the preservation of the Suez Canal's maritime advantages, Rabie underscored the Authority's dedication to ensuring smooth navigation by implementing necessary measures and procedures.

Additionally, Rabie highlighted the SCA's accomplishments in promoting yacht tourism along the canal to maximize its benefits and generate foreign exchange income.

To achieve this, the SCA has undertaken comprehensive plans to develop yacht marinas in Port Said, Ismailia, and Port Fouad, guaranteeing services that adhere to international standards.

Notably, the Ismailia yacht marina, with a capacity of accommodating 100 yachts, stands as a successful outcome of these efforts, receiving positive acclaim from clients worldwide.
