CAIRO – 16 April 2024: Minister of Planning and Economic Development, Hala El Said will engage in the 2024 World Bank and International Monetary Fund (IMF) Spring Meetings in Washington D.C., taking place from April 15 to 20.
Her participation in these meetings aims to address global challenges by exploring various financing solutions, fostering private-sector investments, and enhancing resilience against future disruptions.
El Said will be attending several significant gatherings that will primarily focus on strategies to attain greater economic stability and prosperity for nations impacted by conflicts.
Moreover, the Minister of Planning will be present at the IMF's session titled "Presentation and Launch of Regional Economic Forecasts" for the Middle East and Asia Department. Furthermore, she has scheduled meetings with distinguished individuals from the leadership of the World Bank and the IMF, as well as prominent investors.
Among the topics to be discussed during these interactions is public investment management, which will involve dedicated sessions with the IMF's team.
