PM visits Jotun's new $100M factory as part of his 10th of Ramadan City tour

CAIRO - 30 March 2024: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly visited the Jotun factory for industrial paints and varnishes during their tour of the 10th of Ramadan City today. The Prime Minister emphasized the government's ongoing commitment to supporting the expansion of factories and attracting new investments for various development projects in the country.
 
The General Manager of Jotun Company for Paints and Industrial Paints announced that the company has recently inaugurated a new factory in Egypt in the industrial zone of the 10th of Ramadan City. The factory specializes in innovative paints and boasts a remarkable production capacity of over 70 million liters per shift.

The factory spans an area of 94,000 square meters. Investing over $100 million in its establishment and equipment, the company demonstrates its commitment to long-term investment in Egypt's local market and its overall expansion strategy in Egypt.
 
He added that the Egyptian market is pivotal in Africa and the Middle East. Therefore, Jotun Paints exports its products to Libya, Kenya, and several other countries. The Jotun brand is present in more than 100 countries worldwide.
 
This comes as part of Madouly’s inspection tour in the 10th of Ramadan City today, where he significant role played by the industrial sector in driving the national economy and its potential to lead development efforts in the country. He expressed Egypt’s objective of achieving self-sufficiency in meeting domestic product demands and emphasized the importance of localizing industries through collaboration with the private sector.
