CAIRO - 22 July 2017: The Chemicals & Fertilizers Export Council (CEC) aims to increase its exports by 20 percent from last year, so that it will surpass $4 billion, the council’s chairman Khaled Abu el-Makarem said on Saturday.

The CEC’s exports reached $1.7 billion in the first five months of 2017.

On his participation in the Trade Ministry’s meetings for exports development, Makarem said that all meetings stress on the importance of establishing logistics and storage centers in the African states as it will help market Egyptian products in Africa.

He added that the Egyptian logistics center in Kenya has benefited all export sectors, saying that Egypt is in need of more of these centers.
