Shell Global aims for new exploration discoveries in Egypt

CAIRO - 21 February 2024: Shell Global is looking forward to new exploration ventures in Egypt, as stated by Eugene Okpere, the company's Deputy CEO, in a statement released Wednesday by the Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum.
 
This announcement came on the sidelines of Okpere's meeting with the Egyptian Minister of Petroleum, Tarek El-Molla, concluding the events of the Egypt Energy Conference EGYPS 2024.
 
Shell aims to acquire new concession areas as part of its efforts to increase production, according to El-Molla.
 
Okpere confirmed Shell's pride in the strong relationship with the petroleum sector and its commitment to enhancing mutual cooperation. He expressed the company's anticipation for achieving new discoveries in the upcoming period.
 
Dalia El-Gabry, Vice President and Country Chair for Shell Egypt, explained that attractive opportunities for the company's investments still exist amid confirmed gas potentials.
 
On Monday, Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi witnessed the inauguration of the seventh edition of Egypt Energy Show (EGYPES) 2024 at Al Manara International Conference Center in New Cairo.
 
The first two days of EGYPS 2024 included the launch of the strategic conference with the participation of ministers and leaders of the energy industry and CEOs of major global energy, oil, and gas companies.
