Bourse trading ends Thursday on a positive note, adds LE 15B to market cap.

Cairo – November 2, 2023: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed the week in the green, bringing the market cap. up by LE 15 billion.

Benchmark index EGX 30 was up by 0.92 percent to end the week at 22,639.59 points.

EGX 70 surged by 2.49 percent to 4,412.82 points, followed by EGX 100 which rose by 2.12 percent to end Thursday trading at 6,581.32 points.

Thursday trading saw 859.22 million shares exchanged with a turnover of LE 2.90 billion.

Market capitalization was recorded at LE 1.535 trillion, up by around LE 15 billion compared to Wednesday’s close of LE 1.520 trillion.

Trading on securities saw Egyptian and Arab investors as net buyers with LE 24.21 million and LE 52.04 million, respectively. Foreign investors were net sellers with LE 76.26 million.

The top gains of the session were by General Company for Land Reclamation, Development & Reconstruction which grew by 20 percent, Asek Company for Mining – Ascom also by 20 percent, and Sharm Dreams Co. for Tourism Investment by 19.99 percent.

The largest losses of the session were by Delta for Printing & Packaging which fell by 10.74 percent, General Silos & Storage by 3.62 percent, and El Wadi for International and Investment Development by 3.41 percent.
