Private sector to sell electricity before end of 2023

CAIRO - 10 October 2023: The private sector will be able to sell electrical power before the end of 2023, Minister of Electricity Mohamed Shaker said Tuesday. 

The “p to p” experiment from the private sector to the private sector is successful is a prelude to liberating the electricity market.

The Electricity Utility Regulatory and Consumer Protection Authority is determining the value of national electricity grid usage fees in exchange for allowing the private sector to sell energy to the private consumer, as well as the kilowatt hour.
