Bourse closes Tuesday trading with mixed performance

The Egyptian Exchange fell off its green streak to close Tuesday trading on a mixed note as the market capitalization was recorded at LE 1.353 trillion.

Benchmark index EGX 30 surged by 1.03 percent to end the session at a high of 19,954.30 points.

EGX 70 dropped by 0.38 percent to 3,876.09 points while EGX 100 inched down by 0.10 percent to close at 5,718.18 points.

Tuesday's trading saw 881.27 million shares exchanged with a turnover of LE 3.18 billion.

Trading on securities saw Egyptian and Arab traders as net sellers with LE 310.14 million and LE 97.42 million, respectively. Foreign investors were net buyers with LE 407.57 million.

The top gains of the session were by Misr Fertilizers Production Company – Mopco which surged by 19.16 percent, Samad Misr - EGYFERT by 7.25 percent, and Abou Kir Fertilizers by 5.46 percent.

The largest losses of the session were by Ismailia Misr Poultry which fell by 6.76 percent, Oriental Weavers by 4.72 percent, and Egyptian Real Estate Group by 4.21 percent.
