CAIRO - 25 July 2023: Banque Misr is offering two 3-year USD certificates similar to the certificates issued by the National Bank of Egypt earlier on Tuesday.
The first certificate has one with a 27 percent total return with an upfront payout of the 3 years of interest in LE equivalent, and another with a 7 percent annual interest rate, with interest paid out in USD on a quarterly basis.
The minimum buy-in for each certificate is $1000, with the certificates available as of Wednesday July 26, 2023.
The certificates of deposit can be purchased through the bank’s website, the mobile banking app BM Online, bank branches inside and outside Egypt, and through the bank’s ATM network.
The National Bank of Egypt had earlier issued two new 3-year savings certificates in USD and a new salary-guaranteed loan for Egyptians working abroad.
