Eurasian Resources Group expresses interest in investing in Egypt's market

CAIRO - 19 July 2023: The Eurasian Resources Group (ERG) has expressed its desire to inject investments into the Egyptian market, according to statements made by the group's officials during a meeting with Egypt's Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, on Wednesday.
 
The Eurasian Resources Group specializes in mining, energy, transportation, and marketing operations in 16 countries worldwide.
 
"We are excited to expand our operations and work in the Nubian Shield region and Egypt," said Jonathan Cordiero, Head of the Development Sector at Eurasian Resources Group.
 
Both parties agreed to explore further opportunities for cooperation and investment, aiming to benefit from the group's expertise, especially in maximizing the value of mineral resources and developing ongoing projects.
 
El Molla explained the developments and reforms that the mining sector has witnessed in Egypt, resulting in successful auctions attracting global investments and partnerships.
 
El Molla emphasized that the group's participation in the Egypt Mining Forum is an excellent opportunity to gain insight into the Egyptian market and explore the tangible reforms undertaken in the mining sector. It will also help identify potential areas for the group's investment, starting from participation in bids and extending to various services within the mining sector.
 
The Egypt Mining Forum 2023, themed "Building on 120 Years of Geological Discoveries for a Sustainable Low-Carbon Future," kicked off on Tuesday and Wednesday. The forum, organized by the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, serves as a premier event on the international mining sector's agenda.
 
The forum witnessed the participation of international specialists and experts, shedding light on investment opportunities in Egypt's mining sector, which has experienced unprecedented legislative and procedural transformations.
 
It highlights the roadmap for Egypt's mining future, emphasizing investment and partnerships as key drivers to unlock the sector's potential.
 
The forum showcases the latest emerging opportunities in Egypt's mining sector, positive developments in policies, licenses, legislation, investment, exploration, global and industrial challenges, technology, sustainability, project securing, and investment development. It also sheds light on global updates in the industry, opportunities, challenges, and efforts required for emissions reduction and the green transformation in the mining sector.
 
More than 2,000 decision-makers in the mining sector participate, providing valuable networking and partnership opportunities during the forum. It also focuses on Egypt's financing roadmap and the future of investment and partnerships as key drivers to unlock the sector's potential.
