Demand for gold in Egypt 'doubled' in Q1 2023: World Gold Council

CAIRO – 12 May 2023: The World Gold Council report confirmed that demand for the gold in Egypt doubled in the first quarter of 2023.

 

The report revealed that demand for buying bars and gold pounds in Egypt doubled to 7 tons in the first quarter of this year.

 

According to the report, in the first three months of 2023, Egyptians ranked fifth in the world in terms of high demand for bullion and gold coins.

 

This came in the weekly report issued by the Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC) and posted on its official social networking websites on Friday.
