Cairo to receive direct flights from Sao Paulo starting from September

CAIRO – 29 March 2023: Egyptian Minister of Tourism Ahmed Issa announced that starting from September 2023, Cairo will receive direct flights from Sao Paulo, Brazil and vice versa.
 
Moreover, Issa revealed in a press conference on Monday that the government has approved a new five-year multiple entry visa at an amount of $700 for citizens of 180 countries, including The United States of America (USA), Germany, Spain, The United Kingdom (UK), Russia, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, United Arab Emirates (UAE), China, etc…
 
Citizens from the aforementioned countries can obtain the new visa directly from Egyptian airports, provided that they already have a valid visa from the countries of England - America - Schengen visa "European Union" - Japan - New Zealand, on their passports.
 
Furthermore, the minister disclosed that tourist arrival rates from Russia and Ukraine during January and February 2023, have decreased on an annual basis by 40 percent and 80 percent, respectively, while Italy recorded a 250 percent growth rate in tourist arrivals to Egypt simultaneously, in addition to a recent growth in arrival rates from America, Netherlands and Kazakhstan
 
Additionally, he discussed the new national strategy implemented by the ministry which focuses on improving the overall tourism experience, aviation and investment climate with the goal of achieving a 25-30 percent annual growth.
