CAIRO – 28 March 2023: Egypt has approved a new five-year multiple entry visa at an amount of $700 for citizens of 180 countries, according to Minister of Tourism Ahmed Issa.
 
Issa stated in a press conference on Monday that the 180 countries include: The United States of America (USA), Germany, Spain, The United Kingdom (UK), Russia, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, United Arab Emirates (UAE), China, etc…
 
Citizens from the aforementioned countries can obtain the new visa directly from Egyptian airports, provided that they already have a valid visa from the countries of England - America - Schengen visa "European Union" - Japan - New Zealand, on their passports.
 
Moreover, the minister discussed new facilitations for tourists obtaining a visa to enter Egypt, including issuing emergency visas for citizens of China, India, Turkey, Iran, Israel, Morocco and Algeria, provided that they already have a valid visa from the countries of England - America - Schengen visa "European Union" - Japan - New Zealand, on their passports.
 
Emergency visas, which are only issued once, cost $25 and allow its holders to stay in Egypt for 30 days.
 
The Ministry of Tourism has started implementing a new national strategy which focuses on improving the overall tourism experience, aviation and investment climate with the goal of achieving a 25-30 percent annual growth, according to the minister. 
 
Furthermore, Issa revealed that starting from September 2023, Cairo will receive direct flights from Sao Paulo, Brazil and vice versa.
