CAIRO - 8 March 2023: A number of banks operating in Egypt approved commissions when withdrawing cash from the purchases card, at a rate ranging from 2 to 5% percent of the value of the money withdrawn, with the end of the period specified by the Central Bank’s decision to exempt customers from cash withdrawal commissions as part of the measures it took to confront Coronavirus to motivate the public and automate transactions to reduce crowding on bank branches.
 
 
Egypt Today reviews withdrawal fees and balance inquiries from ATM machines in Egyptian banks if the customer uses a credit card belonging to another bank.
 
National Bank of Egypt (NBE)
 
A discount of LE 20 for withdrawals from other bank machines for each withdrawal and a commission of 2 percent of the total transaction value, in addition to charging interest from the date of withdrawal.
 
 
Banque Misr
 
A commission of 2 percent of the total value of the withdrawal, with a minimum of LE 15, when withdrawing from a machine belonging to other banks.
 
Commercial International Bank (CIB)
 
A commission of 2 percent of the total withdrawal value, with a minimum of LE 20, when withdrawing from a machine belonging to other banks.
 
HSBC Bank
 
A commission of 2 percent of the total withdrawal value, with a minimum of LE 20, when withdrawing from a machine belonging to other banks.
 
 
Egyptian Gulf Bank (EGBank)
 
 
5 percent commission of the total withdrawal value, with a minimum of LE 50, when withdrawing from a machine belonging to other banks.
 
 
Credit Agricole Bank
 
5 percent commission of the total withdrawal value, with a minimum of LE 100, when withdrawing from a machine belonging to other banks.
 
 
Bank of Alexandria
 
A commission of 2 percent of the total withdrawal value, with a minimum of LE 20, when withdrawing from a machine belonging to other banks.
 
 
Emirates NBD Bank
 
A commission of 3 percent of the total withdrawal value, with a minimum of LE 20, when withdrawing from a machine belonging to other banks.
 
 
First Abu Dhabi Bank
 
A commission of 4 percent of the total withdrawal value, with a minimum of LE 30, when withdrawing from a machine belonging to other banks.
 
 
Mashreq Bank
 
A commission of 3.5 percent of the total withdrawal value, with a minimum of LE 35, when withdrawing from a machine belonging to other banks.
