Dollar exchange rate stable at start of Tuesday transactions at Egypt's major banks

CAIRO, Jan 10 (MENA) - The US dollar exchange rate was stable in the beginning of Thursday’s transactions at Egypt's major banks.

At the National Bank of Egypt (NBE) and Banque Misr, the dollar rate registered EGP 27.40 for buying and EGP 27.45 for selling.

At the Commercial International Bank (CIB), the dollar exchange rate recorded EGP 27.45 for buying and EGP 27.55 for selling.

The euro price slightly went up 14 to 15 piasters, registering EGP 29.37 for buying and EGP 29.49 for selling at Banque Misr and the NBE.

The euro price at the CIB amounted to EGP 29.42 for buying and EGP 29.60 for selling.

The sterling pound at the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE ) registered EGP 33.39 for buying and EGP 33.51 for selling.

The Saudi riyal price stood at EGP 7.28 for buying and EGP 7.30 for selling at the NBE.

The NBE and Banque Misr announced on Wednesday issuing new one-year maturity saving certificates with a 25 percent yield after one year.
