CAIRO - 13 December 2022: Vice Chairman of the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) for Agreements and Exploration Samir Raslan said the company had to amend and develop agreements in line with market changes with a view to attracting more investments.

In four years, 24 agreements were signed in the Mediterranean and the Nile Delta with investments totaling $2.7 billion and grants worth nearly $25 million, Raslan added.

The official made the remarks during the 6th edition of Al Ahram’s annual energy conference.

He noted that Egypt’s production of natural gas was not halted during the coronavirus outbreak despite the worldwide suspension of production as a result of the crisis.
