CAIRO - 31 October 2022: Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek el Molla underscored the importance of enhancing successful partnership with Italy's Eni company in oil and gas production and exploration.
 
Molla added efforts are now focused on capitalizing on promising opportunities and potentials in the country to up production rates and upgrade the main structure.
 
Molla's remarks came during talks with CEO of Italian multinational oil and gas company Eni Claudio Descalzi and his accompanying delegation on the sidelines of ADIPEC 2022 Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition Exhibition & Conference Monday.
 
The talks tackled means to follow up on current projects, carried out by the Italian company in Egypt and its investment plans in the present and coming two years as part of the strategic partnership with the petroleum sector.
 
Molla added Eni is the largest investor and producer of oil and gas, noting the company is is an important partner to Egypt in its action plans as a regional hub for gas and petroleum circulation and trade.
 
In turn, Descalzi said the Italian company is very keen on boosting and promoting its investments in Egypt and fostering partnership relations between the two sides.
 
He said he is looking forward to participating in COP27, slated for this November in Sharm El Sheikh.
